My daughter has been in TBC for the past four years. I am very happy she has chosen to stick with TBC because of the great mission behind the program: giving free music lessons to kids. My daughter has been playing instruments since she was 4 years old and she has kept up that love for music ever since and she has learned so much from playing these instruments and has found a lot of joy in music and I see that being able to give other kids that same experience is very rewarding for her. One unique thing about TBC is the experiences it gives kids. Not many high schoolers are managing programs with 800+ students in them and applying to grants and running large-scale fundraisers, but my daughter has been doing all of this throughout high school. I think that putting the kids in these positions gives them the pressure they need to become top leaders and thrive. TBC demands a lot from the kids, but my daughter has been able to stick with the organization for 4 years and it has given her a lot of benefits because of that. Financial literacy is very important for kids and although my daughter is not intending to pursue finance as a career, I think the time she spent in the finance department at TBC was very beneficial for her because it taught her important skills about how to handle money responsibly and she was learning all of this through actually doing them, which made them stick with her a lot better. She was also in charge of executing large-scale events, which forced her to develop a logical and detail-oriented thought process and I think this has helped her greatly in school and other clubs. TBC has made her a much more responsible student and there are many opportunities outside of finance for the kids to get experience in fields that they want to pursue as a career, like IT. I can confidently say that TBC has played a major role in shaping my daughter into the capable and intelligent person she is now.
