Chief Executive Officer- Is responsible for meeting with sponsors/officials, running officer meetings, officer selection, assigning tasks, making sure all other officers are on task, and solving any disputes that may arise. The CEO will set the overall vision and long-term goals of the group. (The CEO must have served a minimum of 1 year on the TBC Officer Board).
Chief of Staff - Is responsible for managing the officer point system, helping plan the monthly officer meetings, and making sure all other officers are on task and have the resources they need. The Chief of Staff is also responsible for writing the meeting agendas before officer meetings and managing the officer contact sheet. The Chief of Staff is second in command and will be expected to lead the group when the CEO is not present.
Auxilaries Department
Executive Director of Auxiliary Programs - Is responsible for overseeing all auxiliary programs to make sure tasks are completed on time. They will also be responsible for TBC's insurance, facility management, and coordinating resources between programs.
Eternal Regiment Director - Is the assistant department head for the Auxiliaries department and is responsible for leading the Auxiliaries department when the EDCR is not present. In addition, the Eternal Regiment Director must attend all rehearsals, and may also be assigned other tasks of the Auxiliaries Department.
Special Needs Regiment Director - Is responsible for all aspects of the Special Needs Percussion Regiment. These activities include but are not limited to organizing volunteers and equipment, filing paperwork, managing rehearsals, registering for performances, and recruiting participants. The Special Needs Regiment Director is expected to attend all rehearsals and help set up and clean up.
Cadet Regiment Director - Is responsible for all aspects of the Cadet Regiment. These activities may include but are not limited to organizing volunteers and equipment, filing paperwork, managing rehearsals, registering for performances, and participants and volunteers. The Cadet Regiment Director is expected to attend all rehearsals and help set up and clean up.
Deputy Director of Elementary Programs (Virtual/Fremont/Cupertino) - Is responsible for all aspects of the elementary band programs. These activities may include but are not limited to organizing volunteers, equipment, performances, filing paperwork, managing rehearsals, grading, and recruiting participants. The Director of Elementary Programs is expected to attend all rehearsals and help set up / clean up.
Chief Administrative Officer - Is responsible for updating SmartMusic for the Hastati Regiment and updating grades for Auxiliary programs.
Winter Program Support Specialist - This is a seasonal role (workload in season will be very high), operating primarily during the winter competition season. The Winter Program Support Specialist will be the primary liaison with Tri-City Percussion, Tri-City Winter Guard, and Drum Major International. This role also entails managing the general operations of DMI and any other tasks of the Auxiliaries Department.
Technology Department
Chief Technology Officer (Department Head) - Is responsible for managing the website, Salesforce database, sending emails, TBC app, and all technology improvements. Additionally, the CTO will supervise all aspects of the Technology Department.
Deputy Chief Technology Officer - Website (Assistant Department Head) - Senior officer responsible for TBC's website and supervising technology officer(s).
Technology Officer - Junior level officer who will support the technology team with simple calendar and website updates
Chief Publicity Officer (Junior Officer) - Is responsible for reviewing and proofreading posted messages, flyers, the TBC website, and third-party sites for accuracy, grammar, and branding. Will also write articles for public distribution
Chief Membership Officer (Senior Officer) - Is responsible for managing all awards and is the primary officer in charge of our Salesforce database managing all membership updates including but not limited to membership points, community service hours, and contact information.
Chief Analytics Officer (Junior Officer) - Is responsible for handling all data analysis requests and researching trends and patterns among TBC members.
Deputy Chief Technology Officer - Video Production (Senior Officer) - Is responsible for editing our performance videos and filming TBC events, only when not participating in the event as a performer.
Technology Officer - Photography (Junior Officer) - Is responsible for taking photos at all TBC events, only when not participating in the event as a performer themselves and editing the photographs as necessary.
Chief Marketing Officer (Senior Officer) - Is responsible for managing all social media channels, designing all flyers and advertisements for the group, and all website content. This includes but is not limited to profile pictures, cover photos, physical flyers, banners, and brochures. The CMO also supervises the work of the Marketing Officer(s).
Deputy Chief Marketing Officer (Junior Officer) - They are responsible for helping the Chief Marketing Officer manage social media and design all flyers and advertisements for the group.
Marketing Officer - Spanish (Junior Officer) - Is responsible for translating our flyers into Spanish for different consumer segments.

Music Department
Chief Musical Director (Department Head) - Is responsible for conducting during practices and performances, buying new music, selecting music for performances, and creating parade formation lineups. During parades, the Chief Musical Director will act as the primary Drum Major though they may select someone else to lead due to instrumentation needs. The CMD is also responsible for managing all aspects of the Music Department.
Deputy Chief Musical Director - Music (Assistant Department Head) - Is the #2 drum major and is specifically in charge of ensuring a strong musical performance. This includes but is not limited to improving the band's overall sound in tone, rhythm, and musical expression.
Chief Musical Composer (Junior Officer) - Is responsible for composing and/or arranging requested pieces for the group such as percussion cadences, marching versions of songs, and original compositions.
Chief Music Librarian (Junior Officer) - Is responsible for distributing all sheet music to performers, purchasing and returning all new music, and managing our music binders.
Brass Section Leader (Junior Officer) - Is responsible for managing the brass section during rehearsals, teaching new members, helping with formations, assigning parts, and attendance.
Woodwind Section Leader (Junior Officer) - Is responsible for managing the woodwind section during rehearsals, teaching new members, helping with formations, assigning parts, and attendance.
Assistant Woodwind Section Leader (Junior Officer) - Is responsible for supporting the woodwind section leader and will oversee the woodwind section(s)
Deputy Chief Musical Director - Visuals (Senior Officer)- Is the #3 drum major and is specifically in charge of coordinating the visual and showmanship aspects of our performances. This includes but is not limited to improving the band block’s: marching technique, horns up/horns down, angles, coordination with the color guard, guiding/covering, turns, and stops.
Color Guard Captain (Senior Officer) - Is responsible for managing the color guard during rehearsals, the training program, equipment, attendance, recruitment, and uniforms. In addition, the color guard captain oversees the overall design of the routines, creates the routine for sabers, and coordinates the integration of the routine with the band. The Guard Captain also supervises all Assistant Color Guard Captains to guide their work and performance.
Assistant Color Guard Captains (Rifles/Flags) (Junior Officer) - Are responsible for 1 designated section of the guard unit. They will choreograph routines and manage all assigned equipment.
Drum Captain (Senior Officer) - Is responsible for managing the battery percussion section during rehearsals, teaching new members, selecting drum cadences, recruiting, taking attendance, and assigning parts. Additionally, the drum captain will supervise the assistant drum captain.
Assistant Drum Captain - Mallets (Junior Officer)-Is responsible for supporting the drum captain and will oversee the mallet section(s)
Deputy Chief Musical Director - Cadets (Senior Officer) - Is the #4 drum major and is specifically in charge of coordinating the cadet regiment band. This includes but is not limited to introducing the fundamentals of marching and coordination in the band block. They strive to improve marching technique and music-playing ability for the cadet regiment.
Supply Department
Chief Supply Officer(Department Head) - Is responsible for the overall management of the Supply Department. In addition, the CSO is responsible for making all new supply purchases.
Deputy Chief Supply Officer - Uniforms (Assistant Department Head) - Is responsible for the storage, maintenance, inventory, and management of all uniforms used by TBC.
Deputy Chief Supply Officer - Equipment (Senior Officer) - Is responsible for storing, maintaining, and organizing all TBC-owned instruments as well as coordinating borrowing and renting instruments from schools.
Deputy Chief Supply Officer - General Supplies (Senior Officer)- is responsible for storing, maintaining, and organizing general equipment used during TBC parades and rehearsals. This includes, but is not limited to: glowsticks, batteries, lights, and more. In addition, the DCSO will help contribute to other tasks of the Supply Department.
Supply Officers (Junior Officer) - Will provide general support to inventory, maintain, distribute, and collect all TBC-owned property. They will generally be supervised by senior officers.
Chief Engineering Officer (Senior Officer) - Senior officer responsible for all physical engineering construction projects for TBC and our winter programs and supervising a junior Engineering Officer.
Deputy Chief Engineering Officer (Junior Officer) - Junior level officer who will support engineering projects.
Operations Department
Chief Operations Officer(Department Head) - Is responsible for managing the Operations Department, which includes recruitment, officer benefits, and regulating safety and health in TBC. In addition, the COO is also responsible for organizing carpools and buses for performances, service learning hours, and registering for parades.
Chief Recruitment Officer(Assistant Department Head) - Is responsible for splitting up membership lists for contacting, generating registration forms, and processing updates to parade and rehearsal attendance.
Recruitment Officer (Junior Officer) - There will be one recruitment officer per school, whose job will be to actively recruit members and officers from their designated school.
Chief Benefits Officer(Senior Officer) - Is responsible for coordinating officer and member benefits including but not limited to college counseling sessions, officer training, and discounts for SAT prep. In addition, the CBO is also responsible for planning quarter-bonding events.
Chief Human Resources Officer (Senior Officer) - Is responsible for the onboarding and training of new officers, performing exit interviews, and completing officer paperwork. Will also conduct an annual career fair, bringing in alumni to speak with current officers about their careers.
Chief Communications Officer (Senior Officer) - Is responsible for checking all TBC email accounts daily, contacting the appropriate officer to answer the email, and/or addressing the problem directly, and ensuring that all emails are replied to within 24 hours.
Chief Community Outreach Officer (Junior Officer) - Is responsible for acting as a liaison with other organizations who request TBC's support and other partner groups as necessary. The Chief Community Outreach Officer's goal is to increase TBC’s presence and participation in the local communities.
Chief Medical Officer (Junior Officer) - Is responsible for managing safety at all of our events. This includes, but is not limited to, food safety at feeds or other fundraisers, and fully stocked first aid kits at all events.
Finance Department
Chief Financial Officer (Department Head) - Is responsible for processing all receipts, reviewing bank statements, making sure all fundraising payments are received, writing all thank you notes to donors/sponsors with our tax ID, and supervising all Finance Department activities.
Chief Accounting Officer (Assistant Department Head) - Is responsible for overseeing every dollar that goes in and out of the TBC bank account and handling transferring money and making payments.
Chief Procurement Officer (Junior Officer) - Is responsible for making sure we perform a bidding process or will seek multiple suppliers, to ensure that we are getting the best price. Will also track all orders and ensure delivery to the appropriate officer or team.
Deputy Chief Financial Officer - Events (Assistant Department Head) - Is responsible for all "event" based fundraisers including but not limited to Pasta Feed and Fremont Festival of Arts. The DCFO also supervises 3 Senior Finance Officers and will guide their work and performance.
Senior Finance Officer- Restaurant Fundraisers (Junior Officer)- Is in charge of planning and organizing all restaurant fundraisers, including setting up the event, taking attendance, & collecting payment.
Senior Finance Officer - Volunteers (Junior Officer)- Is in charge of organizing shifts, taking attendance, and managing all volunteers for all fundraisers.
Senior Finance Officer - Supplies (Junior Officer) - Is in charge of managing all equipment used for fundraisers.
Deputy Chief Financial Officer - Grants (Senior Officer) - Is responsible for managing and reviewing all grant applications.
Senior Finance Officer - Scrip & Programs (Junior Officer)- Is responsible for setting up scrip order forms, collecting money and orders, and putting together a final order list, and keeping track of donation matching. May also be responsible for passing out the scrip cards once they arrive.
Senior Financial Officer - Matching Donations (Junior Officer) - Is responsible for keeping track of and actively seeking Donation Matching.
Deputy Chief Financial Officer - Sales (Senior Officer)- Is responsible for managing the TBC store and selling all TBC equipment and property.
Senior Financial Officer - Rentals (Junior Officer) - Is responsible for promoting, managing, and tracking all TBC equipment currently rented out and collecting rental fees when appropriate.
Senior Financial Officer - Sponsorships (Junior Officer) - Is responsible for seeking out corporate sponsors for our organization both in terms of financial supporters and product partnerships.
