Current Officer Board

Tri-City Band Corps is a student-run organization; therefore, a squad of student officers is required to keep TBC afloat. They work year-round to plan parades, organize fundraisers, run rehearsals, and spread their love for music. Below are the current officers for 2024 - 2025 and their positions.

Individual Job Descriptions

Executive Department

The Executive Team oversees the five departments within Tri-City Band Corps: Supply, Music, Finance, Operations, and Technology. The Executive Team is responsible for all aspects of Tri-City Band Corps, which includes: managing the officer board, distributing and following up on tasks, filing legal paperwork, contacting and communicating with sponsors and alumni, interviewing members for acceptance onto the officer board, implementing developmental activities for the officers, dealing with unexpected emergencies, and most importantly, maintaining a clear vision of the future of TBC and setting goals that will lead the organization towards achieving that dream.

Auxiliaries Department

The Auxiliaries department manages Tri-City Band Corps' auxiliary programs: the Special Needs Percussion Regiment, the Hastati Regiment which is TBC's elementary band, the Eternal Regiment, Drum Major International, and the Cadet Regiment. During the winter, the department additionally manages the Imperial Regiment, which is the Tri-City Winter Guard. The department's responsibilities include organizing volunteers and equipment, filing paperwork, managing rehearsals, registering for performances, and recruiting participants.

Music Department

Click to learn more!

The Music Department takes care of the artistic aspects of TBC's performances. It has three main tasks: running rehearsals, choosing music to play, and maintaining the music library. With maintaining the music library and choosing performance repertoire comes preparing music for parades and storing crates of music. Leading rehearsals is the most important job of Music, as TBC members often approach the Chief Musical Director or Guard and Drum Captains first if they have questions. For this reason, former CEO Sara Tsai said that the Chief Musical Director is the "face of the group."

Supply Department

Click to learn more!

The Supply Department is in charge of all the necessary equipment that TBC owns. The department deals with 150+ uniforms, repairing ones that are damaged, and taking stock of the current number of uniform parts when necessary. The department is also responsible for buying new uniform parts when needed and planning uniform distribution/collection logistics during each parade season. They also manage the percussion equipment that TBC owns; they are in charge of storing/maintaining percussion and ordering replacement parts. During parade season, this department is vital in the transportation of equipment to rehearsals and parades.

Technology Department

Click to learn more!

The Technology Department is in charge of managing the website, app, social media posts, Salesforce, and marketing flyers. The department is responsible for keeping the website up to date and posting on social media weekly. It is also in charge of updating Salesforce with member information and sending out mass emails. The marketing is in charge of creating flyers for advertising our events or programs. In short, it is responsible for all technological aspects of the group.

Operations Department

Click to learn more!

The Operations Department takes care of managing recruitment, officer bondings, and regulating officer benefits, health, and safety. The department is also responsible for planning bonding events, organizing carpools and buses for performances, registering for parades, and managing service hours. Recruiting members is an important job of the Operations department, as it is how the organization grows. In addition, it is also responsible for sending out quarterly newsletters to keep members updated about TBC's recent activities.

Finance Department

Click to learn more!

The Finance Department, as the title suggests, takes charge of all financial aspects of TBC, focusing mainly on small-scale fundraisers, large-scale events and feeds, and applying for grants. Our goal is to ensure that TBC is on stable financial ground. To accomplish this, we set up many restaurant fundraisers and run our large events (most notably, Festival of Arts and Pasta Feed). Long story short, we’re the ones planning and executing each of these events--almost impossible, but at the same time quite rewarding!

Patricia Wu

Chief Executive Officer (East Bay)
12th - Mission San Jose High School
Percussion/Color guard

Patricia Wu is a senior at Mission San Jose High School. This is their second year in TBC, and they play percussion/colorguard. If Patricia won the lottery, she would buy a house, a car, and spend it on friends and family and organizations she's involved in. Then, she would save it for the future. Patricia's biggest pet peeve during camping is when she slides down a hill when she is trying to sleep and has to wake up to reposition herself so she doesn't continue falling. Besides this, she doesn't have any big pet peeves. Her favorite pasta shape is butterfly-shaped (Farfalle) since she thinks it looks better than the other pasta shapes. It's a personal bias since she was small.

Pheona Ma

Chief Executive Officer (South Bay)
12th - Mission San Jose High School
Alto/Baritone Saxophone

Pheona Ma is a senior at Mission San Jose High School. This is their third year in TBC, and they play Alto and baritone saxophone. If she won a lottery, she would spend it on a trip to Bora Bora on a private jet and buy snacks for her dog. Her biggest pet peeve is when people cut others off or talk over others because it is disrespectful and loud and very difficult to make out what each person is saying. Her favorite pasta shape is spaghetti because it is very basic and goes well with meat sauce. She wants to pile beef on it because it is good protein.

Advai Srinivasan

Chief of Staff
12th - Mission San Jose High School
Trombone

Advai Srinivasan is a senior at Mission San Jose High School. This is their third year in TBC, and they play trombone. If Advai won the lottery, he’d spend it all on buying 1 billion McChickens. He loves those sandwiches so much, he’d probably fill his room with them. Just imagine having a mountain of McChickens. His biggest pet peeve is when instructions are super vague. It’s really annoying because it makes it hard to know exactly what to do. Clear directions make everything so much easier and less stressful. When things are confusing, it’s just a hassle for everyone involved. His favorite pasta shape is bowtie. It holds sauces well and adds a unique texture to dishes. With either Pesto or Alfredo this shape is his favorite.

Color Guard

Lila Ehling is a junior at Irvington High School. This is their fifth or more year in TBC, and they play color guard. If she won the lottery, Lila would spend it on something for her family like a family vacation or something of their choice and new clothes/jewelry. She does not particularly have a favorite pasta shape, but when told to pick one, she would pick fusilli.

Matthew Chan

Cadet Regiment Director (East Bay)
11th - Irvington High School
Bassoon

Matthew Chan is a junior at Irvington High School. This is their third year in TBC, and they play bassoon. If Matthew won the lottery, he would likely invest a portion of the winnings in securing his financial future, allocating funds towards traveling to explore new destinations and experiences, supporting causes he's passionate about, and in personal luxuries. One of Matthew's biggest pet peeves is when people chew with their mouths open– it is a disregard of basic etiquette to him, and he finds it incredibly distracting and disgusting, disrupting his dining experience. Matthew's favorite pasta shape is penne, as the cylindrical shape with its diagonally cut ends captures his culinary heart. Its ridges and hollow center are also perfect for holding onto sauce.

Rableen Kaleka

Eternal Regiment Director (Fremont)
Freshman - University of California, Davis
Color Guard

Rableen Kaleka is a freshman at University of California - Davis. This is their fifth or more year in TBC, and they play color guard. And with any leftover money, she would want to buy a house for her parent or pay for their dream vacation. Her biggest pet peeve is when people talk during movies. Movies should be savored and enjoyed in peace and quiet. She likes any pasta shape as long as it’s served with marinara sauce and some cheese! Or kraft mac-n-cheese is also a great alternative.

Vidvat Masipeddi

Vanguard/SNP Regiment Director
11th - Foothill High School
Percussion

Vidvat Masipeddi is a junior at Foothill High School. This is their second year in TBC, and they play percussion. If he won the lottery, he would spend the lottery on books, a new house, college tuition, and an airplane. His biggest pet peeve is when his mechanical pencil is writing so perfectly and in perfect shape, and then for literally no reason, it just breaks. His favorite pasta shape is the short, hollow cylinder. He likes it because it's easy to cook and looks nice.

Prisha Patel

Executive Director of Elementary Programs
10th - American High School
Oboe

Prisha Patel is a sophomore at American High School. This is their fifth or more year in TBC, and they play oboe. If Prisha won the lottery, she would first set some aside to save for the future. She would invest a portion of the money and use the rest to travel around the world. Prisha's biggest pet peeve is when the internet gets slow right when she starts working on something. Her favorite pasta shape is the twisted shape (fusilli) because that is the pasta shape that used to be served at Sweet Tomatoes before they closed.

Annabell Sze

Deputy Director of Elementary Programs
11th - Mission San Jose High School
Baritone / Euphonium

Annabell Sze is a junior at Mission San Jose High School. This is their second year in TBC, and they play baritone/euphonium. If Annabell were to win the lottery, she’d go on vacation to Hong Kong. With a fortune in her pocket, she’d eat unhealthy amounts of dim sum, egg waffles, and pineapple buns. Annabell’s biggest pet peeve is slow or unstable internet. Should her streaming buffer more than twice, or the loading circle spin for over 20 seconds, she will request access to your hotspot. Conchiglie pasta is Annabell's favorite pasta shape. She says it holds sauce better than the other shapes and never becomes mushy. She likes that it comes in multiple sizes and can be found virtually anywhere.

Swarna Vinaitheerthan

Deputy Director of Elementary Programs (East Bay Int/Adv)
11th - Irvington High School
Flute

Swarna Vinaitheerthan is a junior at Irvington High School. This is their third year in TBC, and they play flute. If Swarna won the lottery, she would spend it by buying a house on a large plot of land in the countryside and using the rest of the money to buy chickens and cows and pigs and other farm animals. She would also buy seeds to cultivate crops to sell and eat and become a real farmer. Swarna's biggest pet peeve is people who use their pencils to drum on their desks. She finds it very distracting during class, making it difficult to concentrate on her work. Swarna's favorite pasta shape is penne. She thinks penne just tastes better than all the other ones.

Youze Lin

Deputy Director of Elementary Programs (Beg/Bagpipes)
11th - Mission San Jose HIgh School
Bari Saxophone

Youze Lin is a junior at Mission San Jose High School. This is their third year in TBC, and they play baritone saxophone. If Youze won the lottery, he would spend it on paying off his debts and donating the rest to the Ronald McDonald Foundation. Youze's biggest pet peeve is when someone tries to initiate a conversation while he is enjoying food. His favorite pasta shape is the one that makes spaghetti because spaghetti is one of the foods of all time.

Eric Zhu

Deputy Director of Elementary Programs (Floater)
12th - Mission San Jose High School
Percussion

Eric Zhu is a senior at Mission San Jose High School. This is their second year in TBC, and they play percussion. If he won the lottery, he would spend it on traveling around the world and trying all kinds of food. His favorite pasta shape is fettuccine because it can hold onto rich and creamy sauce, making every bite delicious.

Neha Seshadri

Chief Administrative Officer
11th - American High School
Clarinet / Bass Clarinet

Neha Seshadri is a junior at American High School. This is their fourth year in TBC, and they play clarinet and bass clarinet. If Neha won the lottery, she would spend it on all the overpriced food she wants. For example, she would buy Krispy Kreme donuts and Starbucks coffee. Her biggest pet peeve is when people leave their alarm ringing after they get up. The loud blaring is so annoying! Her favorite pasta shape is the Penne or the Rigatoni shapes. She especially likes to eat them with Alfredo or Carbonara sauce.

9th - Irvington High School
Trombone / Percussion

Ziva Todiwala is a freshman at Irvington High School. This is their fifth or more year in TBC, and they play trombone and percussion. If she won the lottery she would save most of the money for her future. However, she would still spend some amount on musical instruments! Her biggest pet peeve is when people are talking during a movie. When people are talking it makes it hard for her to understand the plot. Her favorite pasta shape is penne as it has the best texture when cooked properly, and it's easy to make.

Kate's pet peeve is when people leave the door open after entering or exiting a room. She can’t help but feel a surge of irritation– to her, it's as if the door, when open, lets in chaos that disrupts the harmony of her space. Kate's favorite pasta shape is farfalle, as she loves how the little pasta pieces look like they've been tailored, ready to attend a fancy dinner party.
