When I first joined TBC as a Cadet, I was just excited to learn the basics of marching and perform in parades and gear up for my high school's marching band. Being a Cadet grew my interest in being part of their officer program. My biggest growth came once I became part of the officer team. As a Tech Officer, I got to work on projects like updating the website and managing customer data and records, which taught me how much effort goes on behind the scenes to keep everything running smoothly.
This year, stepping into the role of Chief Financial Officer has challenged me in completely new ways. From managing sales to organizing huge fundraisers, I’ve learned how to stay organized and gained valuable insights on managing a team. I also volunteer as a teaching assistant for TBC's elementary and middle school programs, where I learned how rewarding mentorship can be.
Overall, TBC has helped me grow both as a leader and as a person. I’ve gained real responsibility, learned how to communicate better, and met so many amazing people who inspire me to keep improving every day.
