TBC will be beginning a new, free beginner band program during the summer! Catered towards 4th, 5th, and 6th graders, this program is designed for those who have had no prior band experience. Classes are on Mondays and Wednesdays from 6-8 PM at the First United Methodist Church (2950 Washington Blvd. Fremont, CA 94539). Interested participants can sign up here. Space is limited, so sign up now! Registration ends on June 1st.
We are also looking for volunteers in Junior High School and High School to help out with the program. Interested volunteers can sign up here.
In addition to having the Beginning Band program, TBC will be continuing the Summer Cadet Program. This program is designed for 6th, 7th, and 8th graders who would like to learn how to march in a marching band. Primarily for those who have had previous band experience, this program will have two parade performances throughout the duration of the program. Rehearsals are from 6-8 PM on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays at the Mission San Jose Community Park. Interested participants can sign up here.
Interested High School volunteers to help run the cadet program can sign up here.
TBC Crab Feed
TBC hosted its first crab feed on February 16th from 5-9pm at Elks Lodge. This was a joint fundraiser with Mission San Jose HS and Irvington HS Performing Arts, so profits will benefit all groups. Overall, the event was a great success, and we once again thank you all for supporting TBC, MSJ PUPs, and Irvington Band Boosters.
Winter Unit Recap
With the end of Quarter 3 comes the conclusion of our winter programs. All units had great success this season in the WGI, CCGC, NCPA, and NCBA circuits. Our various units have won numerous awards. We hope to see you at auditions in the fall of this year for our next season!
TBC Special Needs Program
The TBC Special Needs Winter percussion program has concluded! Both participants and volunteers had a blast playing various percussion instruments. The final performance was at NCBA Championships 3/31. We would like to thank both participants and volunteers for making this program a reality!
Sincerely,
Alvin Tsui
