Debangshu BHadra
My son, Shubham Bhadra, has been a member of Tri-City Band Corps for almost three years now. He initially joined as a Teaching Assistant, teaching students how to play the flute. He has always loved playing the flute and wanted to spread his love for music to others. I have to say that his experience as a Teaching Assistant has made him much happier. He looks forward to teaching students in each class because it gives him the chance to share his musical abilities with his students. This Teaching Assistant role has also made him better at planning his day. Recently, my son decided to sign up for an officer position. Even though I was initially hesitant, after seeing Shubham so happy with his new section leader position, I was also really glad. This officer position was initially difficult for him because it was an extra responsibility, but I was surprised to see how well he handled the challenge. He was able to learn many new skills that would help him in the future. For example, he helped the wind section during the summer during their sectionals. He also went out of his way to do research on the different summer parades. I am proud to say that Shubham is a member of the TBC organization. The different opportunities and roles have helped him mature as a person. I definitely recommend TBC to any parent with children interested in music.
