Hunter Franklin

Hunter Franklin is an active Music Educator based in Sacramento, California. While at the Cavaliers he had the privilege to study Brass pedagogy under Kevin LeBoeuf, Dylan Toombs, and Freddy Martin. Hunter Franklin

Music Caption Head

I marched with the Tottenville High School Marching Band for four years (2013-2017), marching clarinet for the first three, serving as a Marching Specialist my junior year, and Drum Major my senior year. I spent the 2015, 2016, and 2017 seasons marching mellophone with Cadets2, earning the Distinguished Service Award in 2016 and 2017. In college, I marched with the West Chester University Incomparable Golden Rams Marching Band for the 2017-2018 season, where I received the Rookie of the Year award. After Cadets2, I marched with The Cadets for the 2018 season, where I received the Visual Rookie of the Year award. Following marching, I transitioned into teaching, serving as a visual and music tech for the Downingtown East High School Marching Band for the 2018-2019 season directed by Andrew German, the Brass Caption Head at Cadets2. Then, I became a visual tech for the Tottenville High School Marching Band for the 2022-2025 seasons, directed by Laurie D'Amico. I helped rebuild the program post-COVID with an entirely new visual approach centered on visual fundamentals that has contributed to their highest placements in program history. Currently, I am a visual tech for Foothill High School and am enjoying bringing my East Coast approach to their West Coast style.

Carson Kimber

From Fresno, California, Carson holds a deep enthusiasm and an extensive background with the marching arts. Carson completed his undergraduate Music Education degree at California State University Fresno, studying with Dr. Gary P. Gilroy. He is currently pursuing a Master's Degree with Dr. David Vickerman at San Jose State and also assists with the Spartan Marching Band. Carson is looking forward to the upcoming season with the Tri City Winds!
