During my 7th grade summer, I joined TBC as a part of the Cadet Regiment, thanks to my friend who somehow persuaded me. I didn’t have any experience in marching band and was apprehensive with what I would be met with. To my surprise, everyone there was extremely nice, helpful and helped me feel included. I learned marching band fundamentals while at the same time, I made some great friendships and had tons of fun. Cadet Regiment showed me how fun and great marching bands are! Once Cadet Regiment was over, I applied to be a part of Tri City Band Corps officer team. Although it was all online this year, I had a lot of fun with my team and learned a lot as well. I learned to manage my time, understand the importance of meeting deadlines, to speak up and it helped me better my organizational/leadership skills. Although I made a lot of mistakes, I got a chance to learn from them and improve my skills. I made some great friends and connections that will stay with me for a long time. I’m incredibly thankful to TBC for all these great opportunities. This has been a very enjoyable and memorable experience
