Quarter One

Newsletter

Greetings, TBC members! This issue of our newsletter introduces our upcoming events and wraps up this past quarter. We would like to thank all of our wonderful members and parents for their participation and tremendous support towards our organization.

Upcoming Fall Parade Sign-ups

We are happy to announce that Fall Parade sign-ups are now open! We hope you can join us for the Niles Festival of Lights Parade (11/23) and the Hollister Lights on Parade (11/24). This is a great opportunity to hang out with friends, earn service awards, and share your love for music one step at a time. Sign up here!

Winter Guard

Registration for TBC’s color guard unit, the Eternal Regiment, is now open! It is open to all junior high students as well as Irvington and Washington High School Students. For more information, check out our registration form here!

Winter Percussion

TBC’s winter percussion unit, Tri-City Percussion, is a WGI Independent Open Class percussion unit that will compete in events such as WGI Fresno regionals and Dayton and NCPA. This group of percussionists is taught by some of the top DCI techs and instructors. Don’t worry if you weren’t able to make it out to auditions last weekend! Tri-City Percussion is still looking for a couple Synthesizer, Bass, and Guitar players to join our cast for the 2019 winter season. Please reach out to us at tbc@tricitybandcorps.org for more info!

TBC Special Needs Program

TBC is partnering with Friends of Children with Special Needs (FCSN) to launch a new Special Needs winter program! We will be hosting a Special Needs Percussion. Interested volunteers can sign up here.

TBC Pasta Feed

This year, Tri-City Band Corps will once again be hosting a Pasta Feed on Sunday, November 18 from 6-9 pm at the Centerville Community Center! We will have all-you-can-eat pasta, desserts, and boba! Tickets are $15, so be sure to buy a ticket from any TBC officer.

TBC Crab Feed

TBC will soon be hosting our first-ever crab feed on February 16, 2019! Come join us for all-you-can-eat crab, salad, desserts, a multi-prize raffle, a performance from TBC, and more! Tickets will be $50 per person.

Other Fundraisers

TBC has numerous fundraisers planned throughout the year! Our Chipotle (5565 Auto Mall Pkwy, Fremont, CA 94538) fundraiser will be on 11/12 from 5-9 PM. Our fundraiser at Round Table Pizza (40831 Fremont Blvd, Fremont, CA 94538) will be on 11/23 from 6-11 PM right after our performance at the Niles Festival of Lights Parade.

Salinas Parade

The TBC Royal Regiment did a fantastic job performing at the Salinas Colmo del Rodeo parade, receiving first place in the competition. Prior to the parade, they enjoyed the annual bonding event at Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk and the Salinas Pizza Factory.

Great America Event

For the first time on August 13th, the Royal Regiment participated at Great America’s “Performance in the Plaza.” Despite the heat, they put on a stellar show. Members enjoyed themselves inside the massive theme park afterwards.

CBC - One Community, One World Performance

On August 30th, TBC was invited to perform in the heart of Central Park for CBC’s “One Community, One World” event. We played numerous songs while promoting unity and peace in both our community and the world at large.

Sincerely,

Alvin Tsui
