Newsletter
Hello TBC members! We’re excited to present the third newsletter of the 2021-22 year! The newsletter will cover past and upcoming events for this quarter. TBC would like to thank all of our students, volunteers, officers, teachers, and parents who have worked throughout the pandemic for their work, support, and dedication towards keeping TBC and music alive.
2022-2023 TBC Officer Application
TBC owes all of its success to the amazing help and dedication of our officers. Becoming an officer is an extremely valuable experience that will provide an opportunity to develop leadership and management skills in a professional environment. There is a huge range of officer positions, so there is always something for everyone to apply for. We would love to have you on our team! We’re still accepting late general officer applications. Elementary Band Program (Hastati Regiment)
The 2021-2022 school year Hastati Elementary Band Program has continued with the hybrid program setting and has seen a large amount of participation so far. Come support our students by attending their end-of-program concert on May 22nd from 3-4 PM at Washington High School! There will be performances by all levels (beginning, intermediate, and advanced/wind ensemble).
Eternal Regiment
TBC’s 2021-2022 Eternal Regiment has wrapped up a highly successful fall season under the guidance of world-class instructors Jenny Hunter, Melchor Bongato, and Ashlyn Reth. Students have continued practicing through the program’s spring season. Immortal Regiment (the program’s Cupertino site) placed first at championships and Eternal Regiment (the program’s Fremont site) placed second. Once again, congratulations to all the students and coaches on a great season!
Summer Elementary Band Program (Hastati Regiment)
Registration for the 2022 Summer Elementary Band Program is open! The program will start on June 6th and conclude on July 28th. The program is open to students entering grades 4+. We will be offering three levels: beginning, intermediate, and advanced and participants can choose between virtual, in-person (Cupertino and Fremont sites), and hybrid offerings. We are continuing to offer video lessons, SmartMusic, weekly sectionals, and performance opportunities. More details, student registration, and our previous performances can be found here.
Elementary band TA registration is also open! We are continuing to offer service hours for teaching students music. More information and volunteer registration can be found here.
Cadet Regiment
Registration for the 2022 Summer Cadet Regiment is open! This program is our junior high-level marching band, composed of color guard and instrumentalists. The program will start on June 7th and conclude on July 29th with practices held on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. Students entering 6th-9th grade are welcome to join. We will be offering two sites for the program, one in Fremont and the other in Cupertino. More information including performance dates, practice locations, and student registration can be found here
Cadet Regiment TA registration is also open! Volunteers will also receive service hours. More information can be found here and volunteer registration can be found here.
Summer Clinics
TBC will be hosting free color guard and drum major/band leadership clinics on June 19th from 10 AM-4 PM. Students of all skill levels are welcome to join. More information and registration can be found here.
Summer Royal Regiment
Registration for the summer Royal Regiment program is open! This program is our high-school level marching band, composed of instrumentalists and color guard members. This year, the Royal Regiment will be performing at the Hollister Rodeo Parade (June 18th), Fremont July 4th Parade (July 4th), and at Great America (July 30th). It’s a great opportunity to continue practicing music and earning service hours due to the flexible schedule. More details including rehearsal schedule and the registration can be found here.
