Quarter Two

Newsletter

Greetings, TBC members! This issue of our newsletter introduces our upcoming events and wraps up this past quarter. We would like to thank all of our wonderful members and parents for their participation and tremendous support towards our organization.

Fall Parades Updates

Once again, TBC had a fantastic time performing in both of its annual fall parades. The Niles Festival of Lights has been a tradition for the past 15 years in Fremont. Despite the intense rain, TBC performed extremely well at the Niles parade on 11/29. Additionally, TBC had a blast performing at the Hollister Lights On Parade in front of an audience of about 10,000 people!

TBC Spring Performance

TBC would also like to announce the introduction of a Spring performance at the Dublin (CA) St. Patrick’s Day Parade! This is a great opportunity to hang out with friends, earn service awards, and share your love for music one step at a time. More information and sign ups can be found here.

TBC Pasta Feed

TBC is hosting a spring pasta feed in April! We will have all-you-can-eat pasta, desserts, boba, and more! Tickets will be $15. We will also be introducing raffle baskets and auction items at the event! Raffle tickets will be $1 for 1 and $20 for 25 tickets. Stay tuned for more information as it becomes available in the coming months.

Our Tri-City Band Corps Winter Guard season has been well underway, with rehearsals held at Mission San Jose High School. Taught by head instructor Ben Wilkinson, along with instructors Fou Saelee, Jazz Legaspi, and Colin Apperson, our students are having a blast learning the choreography for the upcoming season. Check the TBC website for updates on times and other performances.

The TCP season has already begun with rehearsals underway at Mission San Jose High School in preparation for their season debut at WGI - Merced on March 7th, 2020, at Merced High School. Stay tuned to the TCP Website for updates as we approach both our debut and future performances scheduled for the season.

TBC Special Needs Program

The Special Needs Winter percussion program opened by TBC in conjunction with Friends of Children with Special Needs (FCSN), is well underway. Both participants and volunteers are having a blast playing various percussion instruments while preparing for their show debut at the NCBA Foothill Winter Review on March 28th, 2020. Stay tuned for more information as it becomes available.

Primarily for those who have had previous band experience, this program will have two parade performances throughout the duration of the program.
